Today, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya was forcibly evicted from Nyayo Stadium after being confronted by by unruly youth. This happened during a match between Harambee and Gabon.
Salasya had barely settled in the pitch when the crowd attempted to rough him up as some threw objects toward him.
Salasya was among Kenyans who had gone to watch the crucial World Cup qualifier match between Harambee stars and Gabon.
The lawmaker is one of the leaders who has been on record for telling off the opposition chief Raila Odinga about his political moves.
Salasya who despite being from the Azimio la Umoja coalition had shown rebellion when he first refused to vote for the impeachment of former deputy President Rigathi Gachagua.
Lately, he became more rebellious following his removal from the Agriculture Committee to the Members Services House team.
We condemn in the strongest terms the eviction of Peter Salasya at Nyayo Stadium.
We call upon Raila Odinga to publicly denounce this outrageous conduct by his supporters. We stand against all manifestations of political intolerance in Kenya.
